Privacy

This site is run privately, as a hobby, by an individual in the Netherlands. It has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Questions about your data can go to [email protected].

What stays in your browser

Anything you enter yourself is stored in your own browser and never sent to the server: which order you follow, your VIN, the price you paid, your theme and table preferences. Clearing your browser data removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.

Cookies

One cookie, and only if you deliberately switch language: it remembers Dutch or English for a year. Nothing else is placed, and nothing is used to recognise or follow you.

What the server records

How often each page is requested, as a running tally held in memory. No addresses, no browser details, no search terms. It resets whenever a new version is deployed and is never written to disk.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses in order to serve and protect it, and reports aggregate traffic figures such as how many visitors a page had. That is standard for any site behind a content network, and those figures are not linked to anything you enter here.

The credit badge

The footer carries an attribution badge, loaded from Boring Order Tracker, which the terms of the data integration require. It sets no cookies and collects nothing; I read the code before putting it here. It does load a script and a logo from their domain, though, which means their server sees your IP address at that moment, as happens with any file a page fetches from somewhere else. It is the only thing on this site loaded from another party.

Order data

Order data comes from the Boring Order Tracker app and is used with their permission. An order is only shown once its owner deliberately connects it, and they can disconnect it again from within that app at any time. When they do, the copy held here is deleted. Statistics are built from aggregated figures that cannot be traced back to an individual order.

Registration figures come from the open data published by the RDW, the Dutch vehicle authority. That data is public and is not linked to anyone using this site.

Your rights

Because there are no accounts, there is nothing here tied to your name. If your order is connected, disconnecting it in the Boring Order Tracker app removes it here as well. Anything you typed in disappears when you clear your browser data. For anything else, including access or deletion requests under the GDPR, write to [email protected].
